Nope... It's not what are you thinking... We are adopting three new family members: a Jaguar, a sea Otter and a Meerkat. When you adopt at WWF website, you receive a plush likeness your adopted animal, a photo and an adoption certificate. So... That's it... while we can't have real pets here we are supporting those living on the wild. Visit WWF adoption center: WWF

I received this video recently and I felt compelled to share. It's sensitive, with so many fine touches, brings back our childhood while we can't ignore the adult feelings in it. Ji Mi's work is like that: philosophical. A fish with a smile is about a man who has bought a fish but in truth, it is about an individual trapped in his inner world, with countless generosity underneath his quietness. Touching. Let's talk a bit about a wonderful pet, although quite unknown in Brazil, but very popular in USA, where they came from. Boston Terrier is a small dog very popular as a company pet. They are a great option for those livings in apartments, great company for children and adults, good relationship with others dogs and an Agility bright future. A Boston terrier loves swim, play, learn, it's a good company for families with children. If you want to know more about the American Gentleman, read this great Boston Terriers Dog Guide Article. It's a funny little dog, bringing happiness to your house.

As you already know, there's a contest out there: Blogger's Choice Award and I'm participating in the Best Geek Blog category. (actually I already have 203 votes!!) But, I'm here to talk about another blog: " Anjos para Adocao" or in English: Angels for Adoption. This blog was created by Maria Augusta to help abandoned cats and dogs to find a new home where they can be loved and respected. This blog was nominated in the Best Animal Blog category. And yesterday, when the blog had more than 700 votes, they banned it from the contest. They explained they banned for two reasons:
"1. There were literally hundreds of votes coming from a few select IP
addresses. At any voting site, this would be terms for the users to be
banned, however we chose only to disable the site until we could find
out more about why it was happening and move forward from there.
2. The blog is not written in English. Our site currently only caters to English-speaking users.
"
We explained the situation:
1. They detected that there are many votes from
one IP address because blog is made in a
very poor community in a slum area outside São Paulo with the purpose
to find homes for abandoned animals, where most of the people doesn´t
have computers, and when they have, they don´t speak English, so for
them is impossible to make all the procedures to vote. To bypass this difficulty they
chose a few voluntaries that allow to use their computers (and their
time) to instruct this poor people that wants to help the organization
to continue its work.
2. There are no rules stating that non-English blogs couldn't participate. So, after one whole day waiting, they made a decision:
"After careful consideration of these concerns and the emails we
received from you and a few others, we have determined that it is in
the best interest of both BloggersChoiceAwards.com and
Anjosparaadocao.Multiply.com to (1) clarify the rules, (2) reinstate
the blog without the questionable votes, and (3) move the blog to a new
category, "Best Foreign Language Blog." This will be a category
dedicated to those blogs written in any language other than English.
While we certainly understand and appreciate the uniqueness of your
situation, the original intent of this voting site was to provide a
platform where bloggers (and blog readers) can recognize and vote on
the best of the blogosphere. Based on what you and others have
communicated to us on this matter, there was a lot of support from the
local community, but only a select few volunteers were doing all of the
voting, and that violates the rules of the competition.
Because this wasn't clear in the original rules, we are rewriting
them to be clearer and more complete. We will also add the
aforementioned category and move and reinstate
Anjosparaadocao.Multiply.com (and other foreign-language blogs) to the
new category. These changes will go into effect sometime tomorrow
(Friday).
We hope that you will agree that this is the fairest way of
responding to this matter, while maintaining the integrity of the
competition. We are so pleased to see how involved you are in the
Blogger's Choice Awards and hope that this is a satisfactory resolution
for you." Yes, I think this is a satisfactory resolution, but today I found out that all those 700 votes were cleared. Yes, we have to vote again! But, with all these things happening, lots of people from that discussion forum are willing to vote in this blog, people from Hawaii, Canada, India. I think this is really great.
Anjos para Adocao needs publicity, and we can help it with this.
What do you think? Let's vote! You already vote for them? Vote again!!!!! Click in the bagde bellow!
Think about all those kittens and puppies!!!!

This is for those who loves animals. I found this website with funny animal pictures and videos. They have humor like this sick cat bellow. Or wonderful stories like this male dog, Hasso, who adopted a litter of kittens.
This is one of the most adorable things I’ve seen in a long time. I've seen female dogs adopting kittens, but never male dogs... Or Animal Stories, like this one: How could you, a sad story, but makes you think about those lovely creatures that just need our love. I recommend this site.
