I know, work with security was always amazing, at least for me, but, deal with logs, and understand and optimize all that rules is not piece of cake.

Browsing I found this software, AlgoSec.
It's a firewall analyzer that you can use with Cisco Pix, Checkpoint (they are OPSEC), Netscreen and Router ACLs.

They claim to cover 5 important subjects:

4. Advanced Management
5. Policy Optimization
